Family Care Center Provides Record Number of Free Sports Physicals in 2025

September 15, 2025 – CONCORDIA, Kan. — The Family Care Center in Concordia, Clyde and Jamestown wrapped up its annual free sports physicals program with a record number of student-athletes served this summer. Between June 17 and Aug. 16, seven medical providers gave 438 free physicals, an increase of 19 from last year and the highest total since the program began in 2019. The program is designed to help student-athletes prepare for the upcoming school year while removing financial barriers for families. “We are proud to offer this program as a community benefit and to help students get their athletic year off on the right foot,” said Dave Garnas, North Central Kansas Medical Center Administrator. “The growth we’ve seen in participation shows how important this service is to families in our community.” Family Care Center has offered the free sports physicals annually since 2019, with participation numbers steadily climbing. This year’s record-breaking total highlights the program’s impact and the organization’s commitment to local youth and families.
