NCK Medical Center now offering Coolief Pain Management

(October 6, 2025) – Concordia, Kan. — North Central Kansas Medical Center is now offering Coolief Pain Management, a minimally invasive treatment designed to bring long-lasting relief to patients suffering from chronic back pain. The procedure is performed by Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist, Danielle Casey, on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of each month at NCK Medical Center.
Coolief uses cooled radiofrequency technology to target and deactivate pain-causing nerves. The outpatient procedure can provide months of relief without surgery or heavy reliance on medication, improving quality of life for individuals dealing with chronic back pain.
Patients must be referred by their physician before scheduling a Coolief procedure.
“We are proud to bring this advanced pain management option to our community,” said Danielle Casey, CRNA. “Offering Coolief locally means patients no longer need to travel far for relief. This procedure can help people move more freely, rely less on medications and regain the activities they enjoy.”
Coolief is an effective option for patients with chronic back pain who have not found relief through other treatments. By expanding access to this innovative therapy, NCK Medical Center continues its commitment to providing high-quality, patient-centered care close to home.
