Visitor Policy

  • Visiting hours are between 8:00am-8:00pm. Restrictions may apply to certain patients. Please check in at the nurses station prior to visiting.
  • For patient safety, we ask that visitors experiencing any illness symptoms to visit after their illness has resolved.
  • Patients and visitors may mask if they choose. Cloth masks should not be worn.
  • Patients experiencing any respiratory illness symptoms should mask.
  • Visitors between the ages of 6-12 must be accompanied by an adult. Visitors younger than 6 may visit with nurse permission.
  • Emergency Room nurses reserve the right to limit visitors.
  • All visitors are asked to wash their hands before visiting a patient room and after leaving.

Entrance Information

  • Visitors and patients can enter through the main entrance doors or the lower level parking lot door from 7am-7pm Monday through Friday.
  • Visitors and patients must use the emergency room entrance from 7pm-7am Monday through Friday and all day Saturday and Sunday. Visitors and patients should push the button for entry.
  • If you or a loved one needs assistance into the building, please park in the spots with the bright yellow signs and call 785-243-1234. You will be instructed to tell the operator which stall you are parked in and an employee will meet you with a wheelchair.
  • If you are visiting for outpatient and emergency services, park in the lot in front of the emergency room entrance and enter there.
  • If you are visiting for the Family Care Center, lab, imaging, physical therapy, or specialty clinics, please park in the parking lot closest to the main entry.
  • If you are visiting to eat in our cafeteria or meet for a conference, the lower north parking lot will provide you with the easiest access.
